How About a Seattle Stairway Map App?

A Geographical Information Systems (GIS) company in Pittsburgh called ESRI is working with a South Slope neighborhood group to create a smartphone "story app" for their stairs. We've often dreamed about a GPS-activated smartphone app for major Seattle stairways, with audio, photographic and video information about nearby scenic attractions, history and architecture.

It sounds like Pittsburgh is getting this for at least some of their 716 stairways. Here's a link to the story, in the online edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Does anyone have ideas for starting a similar project for Seattle?

Seattle's oldest stairway...is there an app for that?
