Feet First's 4th Annual "Great Beer Hike"

The previous post describes Stairway Spring Cleaning Day, happening this Saturday, April 26th, at the end of Earth Week. You can make a Seattle stairway near you more inviting, and commemorate Earth Week, by signing up here as a volunteer stairway cleaner!

There's a lot going on around town this Earth Week. For instance, Greenlake's Latona Pub is having all its beer brought in with nonmotorized means - by foot, bicycle and boat. The map below shows some of the participating breweries this year, and lists the various conveyances (horse-cart?).

Washington walkability nonprofit Feet First, also a sponsor of Stairway Spring Cleaning Day, pitched in this Sunday for the fourth year in a row. A group of hard-working, cart-pushing volunteers rolled a keg of Hand Truckin' Amber Ale 11 miles, starting from Two Beers Brewery in SODO. Cathy says it was a great city crawl with good company, and her super-hoppy IPA at the end made a perfect finish to the day.
